Terms and conditions
The essentials: Siha is a technical intermediary for booking and record-keeping, not a healthcare provider. Treatment and diagnosis are the sole responsibility of the treating dentist, and the consultation fee is an agreement between you and the clinic.
Acceptance of these terms
By using the Siha app or this website, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the platform.
What the platform is and isn't
Siha is a technical platform connecting patients with dental service providers (dentists, clinics, and supervised students). It enables appointment booking, the storage and display of clinical records, and the purchase of products and supplies through the store.
The platform is not:
- A healthcare provider, and it does not practise medicine in any form.
- A party to the treatment relationship between you and your dentist.
- A source of diagnosis, consultation or medical opinion.
- A substitute for emergency care — in an emergency, go to the nearest health centre directly.
Diagnosis, the treatment plan, its execution and its outcomes are the sole responsibility of the treating provider, in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations.
Eligibility and your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account. A parent or guardian may create an account and manage a child's appointments and record, and takes responsibility for doing so.
- You undertake to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- Your account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your verification code and password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
User roles
- Patient: searches, books, views their record, and buys from the store.
- Dentist or clinic: a verified provider managing their schedule, appointments and patients' records, with access to the supplies store.
- Student: a provider within a teaching clinic under university supervision. Booking with a student is always free and carries no consultation fee through the platform.
- Platform administration: reviews provider applications and manages content and settings.
Booking, cancellation and no-shows
- Displayed times are based on the provider's schedule at the moment of display. A booking takes effect when confirmed in the app.
- A provider may cancel or reschedule an appointment for professional or emergency reasons, and you will be notified.
- You can cancel or change your appointment from the app. The acceptable cancellation window varies by clinic.
- Repeatedly missing appointments without cancelling may lead to booking being restricted on your account.
- Consultation and treatment fees are a direct agreement between you and the clinic and are paid to it. The platform does not collect treatment fees and does not guarantee any particular price.
Clinical records
- Clinical data — the tooth chart, treatment plans, medical history and notes — is entered by the treating provider, who is responsible for its accuracy and completeness.
- The platform provides the technical means to store and display it, and does not verify or alter clinical content.
- Your record is available to the provider you are seeing and to you. It is not shown to a provider whose patient you have not become.
- How this data is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Provider accounts and verification
- Every provider must upload the required verification documents (a valid practice licence, and proof of the clinic), and their profile does not appear to patients before approval.
- The provider confirms that they are legally licensed to practise, and that their details and photos are accurate and their own.
- The provider is responsible for what they publish in their profile and gallery, and for what they enter in their patients' records.
- The platform may suspend or cancel a provider's profile if their licence expires, if a breach of these terms is established, or where documented complaints against them recur.
- Some provider features may be tied to a membership or subscription. Those terms are made clear to the provider before activation.
The store and orders
- The store shows products for patients and supplies reserved for dentists; what is shown depends on your account role.
- Displaying a product is not a binding offer; an order takes effect when confirmed and stock is available.
- An order may be cancelled or changed before dispatch, and the platform may cancel an order if stock runs out or there is an obvious error in price or description, refunding anything paid.
- Oral care products offered are not medicines and are not a substitute for seeing a dentist.
- Clinic supplies are intended for professional use by verified providers only.
Payment and delivery
- Payment methods: cash on delivery, or online payment through the approved gateway. Payment details are processed by the gateway and are not stored by us.
- Delivery charge: calculated by governorate or area and shown in the order summary before you confirm.
- Delivery times: estimates affected by area and shipping conditions, not a commitment to a specific time.
- The buyer must give an accurate address and a reachable phone number. Failed delivery due to incorrect details or non-response may mean the order is re-sent and the delivery charge borne again.
- The currency is the Iraqi dinar, and displayed prices are inclusive unless stated otherwise.
Returns and refunds
- You may refuse an order on delivery if it is damaged or not what you ordered.
- To request a return after receipt, contact support with the order number and a photo of the product, within a reasonable period of delivery.
- The product must be in its original condition, complete with its packaging and accessories, and unused.
- Returns are not accepted for personal hygiene products once their sealed packaging is opened (such as toothbrushes, brush heads and oral-use implements), nor for sterile single-use supplies once the sterile seal is broken — for health reasons.
- Where a return is accepted, the amount is refunded by the same method it was paid. Delivery charges are not refundable unless the error was ours.
Reviews and content
- Only someone who completed an appointment can review a clinic, and only a buyer can review a product. One review per user per subject.
- A review must be about your own experience, free of abuse, accusations, or details identifying other people.
- Any review or content in breach may be removed without prior notice.
- You keep ownership of what you upload, and grant the platform a non-exclusive licence to display and store it as far as running the service requires.
Prohibited use
- Impersonating a person or clinic, or using documents that are not yours.
- Attempting to access accounts or records that are not yours.
- Making fake bookings or flooding schedules with appointments you don't intend to attend.
- Scraping platform data automatically, or attempting to disrupt or breach the service.
- Publishing unlawful, misleading or abusive content.
- Using the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The Siha name and logo, the design of the app and site, their software and their content are owned by Siha and protected by law. They may not be copied, modified or reused without prior written permission.
Suspension and termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms or where there is a risk to the security of the platform or its users.
- We aim to tell you the reason and give an opportunity to put it right, where that is possible and appropriate.
- You may end your account at any time by requesting deletion as set out in the privacy policy.
- Outstanding financial obligations and clauses that by their nature continue remain in force after termination.
Limits of liability
- The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant it will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that a particular provider or a particular appointment will be available.
- We are not responsible for the outcome or quality of treatment, or for any harm arising from the medical service a provider delivers.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of data entered by users or providers.
- We are not responsible for interruptions to third-party services (telecom networks, payment gateways, notification services).
- None of the above limits any liability that the law does not permit to be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms as the service develops or regulatory requirements change. The "last updated" date at the top of the page is revised, and material changes are flagged in the app. Continuing to use the platform after publication means you accept the updated version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and the Iraqi courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. We seek first to resolve any disagreement amicably through the support team.
